Prior Preparation for Cyril Yoga Retreat

What to Bring:

  • Yoga mat (or purchase one at the retreat centre for Rs 3000/-)

Pre-Retreat Diet:

  • Drink 3-4 litres of water per day, starting with 0.5 litres upon waking

  • ⁠Avoid eating or drinking within 2 hours of class commencement

  • One litre of water may be consumed after class

Recommended Diet:

  • Vegetarian diet with at least 50% fruits and vegetables

  • High-protein meal once a day, the size of two hands cupped

  • Fruit may be consumed at breakfast (after class) and evening

  • ⁠Water should not be consumed during meal times, except 30 minutes prior and after eating

What to Wear:

  • ⁠Women: Close-fitting tank top and/or sports bra, comfortable clothing that moves with you

  • Men: Lightweight, stretchy shorts or pants, cotton or sweat-wicking material

Personal Hygiene:

  • ⁠Bathe before class, avoid creams after bathing

  • Empty bowels and bladder before class, if possible

Health Concerns:

  • Report any health concerns, including general flu, to the teacher before class
